Our Story!

Welcome to our very first blog post! This has been a long time coming, and we’re so excited to finally be doing this! In this blog we aim to give you all kinds of wedding/party tips and ideas, from favours to event decor to DIY! As you’ll know from our social media accounts already, we don’t cater for just weddings but all kinds of parties and events in between, be it baby related, Ramadan & Eid parties, or even tea parties and just the good old get together! But first, we thought it would be most appropriate to start off with a little story about us…

From the mountainous region of Ta’if, Saudi Arabia – where greenery flourishes and rose farms are dotted around the small, quaint city – hail the four sisters behind Al-Party Favours. We get a lot of questions about our name – i.e. who is Al and what does he have to do with your business!? So to clarify this once and for all – “Al” is the literal denotation of the Arabic article that translates quite literally as “the”; The Party Favours. Call it a nod or wink to our roots and where we come from! We wanted to keep our Middle Eastern upbringing at the forefront of our business ideology as it defines us and is an integral part of us; we wanted our history and home to be a huge component of everything we do.

Ta’if is renowned for its lush green vegetation and known as “the garden of the Hejaz”; it’s an agricultural capital known for its grapes, pomegranate, figs, roses and honey. It was this that inspired us to include products like honey and roses in our signature favours whilst acknowledging and appreciating our roots – our honey jars were the first favour we created back in 2013 where our story started; we grew up near a rose plantation in Ta’if hence the use of the rosebuds in our date & rose boxes; Zam Zam bottles – that one goes without saying!

So there you have it, a little insight into our lives and the reassurance that we are not, in fact, a middle aged man named Al! We hope you enjoyed reading our very first blog post – keep an eye out for much more to come!

Love, Al-Party Favours ♡
